The Andhra Pradesh government says it will improve old temples even though the state has financial difficulties.

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy announced support for temple rebuilding and infrastructure.

Officials laid the foundation stone for projects costing Rs 8.74 crore at a temple in Narasimhakonda.

The government also expanded a support program to 12,000 temples.

Each temple can now receive Rs 10,000 every month under that program.

More than Rs 13 crore was sanctioned for temple-related works in the Nellore Rural constituency.

MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said the project was an important achievement.

The leaders credited the state government’s leadership for faster development.
