Northeast Frontier Railway Adds Festival Special Trains for 2026
Northeast Frontier Railway is arranging extra trains for the festival season.
The festivals mentioned are Puja, Diwali and Chhath.
These trains will help more people travel between cities and towns.
Services will connect places such as Secunderabad, Naharlagun, Howrah, Lumding, Kolkata and New Jalpaiguri.

Northeast Frontier Railway will continue existing services and add special trains for the Puja, Diwali and Chhath festival season.
Secunderabad–Naharlagun specials will make five additional trips in each direction between October 2 and November 2, 2026.
Santragachi–Naharlagun specials will make nine additional trips in each direction from October 2 to November 28, 2026.
Howrah–Lumding specials will make seven additional trips in each direction between October 16 and November 28, 2026.
Kolkata–New Jalpaiguri specials will make 14 additional trips in each direction from October 17 to November 30, 2026.
