Eastern Railway Announces Puja Specials for North Bengal, Assam
Eastern Railway is adding special trains for the busy festive season.
The trains are meant for people traveling during Puja, Diwali and Chhath.
Some trains will connect Kolkata with New Jalpaiguri.
Another special train will connect Howrah with Lumding.
The services are planned for October and November 2026.
The Howrah-Lumding train will leave every Friday morning.
It will run from October 16 through November 27.
Each trip will arrive in Lumding the next morning.
Ticket booking is expected to begin soon.
