NFR Extends Festival Special Trains for Festive Passenger Rush
Northeast Frontier Railway is adding more special train trips for the busy festive season.
These trains will give passengers more choices for travel.
One pair will connect Katihar and Amritsar.
Another pair will connect Dibrugarh and Kolkata.
A third pair will run between Bhagalpur and Katihar.
The Dibrugarh–Kolkata trains will have 22 coaches.
The Bhagalpur–Katihar trains will continue running every day.
Passengers should check the latest timings and stops before travelling.
Northeast Frontier Railway extended three pairs of Festival Special trains for the 2026 festive season.
The Katihar–Amritsar service will operate 12 additional trips from September 9 to November 25, 2026.
The Amritsar–Katihar return service will run 12 additional trips from September 11 to November 27, 2026.
The Dibrugarh–Kolkata and return services will each operate 13 additional trips, with 22 coaches.
The Bhagalpur–Katihar–Bhagalpur services will continue daily, with extensions covering 94 trips in each direction.
