Festive Special Trains Add Trips Across 13 Routes
North Central Railway is adding special train trips for the busy Puja and festive season.
These trains will start running on different dates between October 1 and October 20, 2026.
Most services will continue until November.
One Asarva–Kanpur Central train will run until December 1.
The trains connect cities and stations such as Prayagraj, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Udhna and Sabarmati.
The Prayagraj–Udhna route will receive the most extra trips, with 18 in each direction.
A train that used to run between Prayagraj and Gandhigram will now terminate at Sabarmati.
Passengers should check the train number, direction, operating day and revised timings before booking.
North Central Railway will operate additional festive-season special-train trips on 13 routes from October through November 2026.
The services connect Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Agra Cantt, VGL Jhansi and Subedarganj with destinations including Udhna, Asarva, Bandra Terminus, Valsad, Dadar, Sabarmati, Indore and Veraval.
The Prayagraj–Udhna special-train pair will have the highest frequency, with 18 additional trips in each direction.
The former Prayagraj–Gandhigram service has been renamed and shifted to the Prayagraj–Sabarmati route as trains 04179/04180.
Train 01906 Asarva–Kanpur Central will run until December 1, while its timings at Tundla, Firozabad and Etawah are revised from October 6.
