NFR completes conversion of all long-distance passenger trains to LHB coaches · thehansindia.com

Northeast Frontier Railway has replaced older train coaches with newer LHB coaches on all its long-distance services.

These coaches are designed to make train travel safer and more comfortable.

A total of 103 train services now use them.

Of these, 55 are NFR services and 48 belong to other railway zones.

Many coaches also have systems that can detect fires early.

These systems can sound alarms so railway staff can respond quickly.

Fire protection equipment is being added to more coaches over time.

Railway officials say safety checks and inspections will continue.
