Special Trains Added for Ganesh Chaturthi Travel Rush
South Western Railway is adding extra trains for people traveling during Ganesh Chaturthi.
The trains will connect Bengaluru with Belagavi and Vijayapura.
Two Bengaluru–Belagavi services will leave on September 11 and September 13, 2026.
Their return trains will leave Belagavi on September 12 and September 14.
The Yesvantpur–Vijayapura trains will also run on September 11 and 13, with return trips on September 12 and 14.
These trains will stop at several towns along the routes.
Each train will have 20 coaches.
The extra trains are meant to help more people travel during the busy festival period.
South Western Railway will run special trains from Bengaluru to Belagavi and Vijayapura in September 2026.
Two Bengaluru–Belagavi train pairs will operate on September 11–12 and September 13–14.
The Bengaluru–Belagavi services will each have 20 coaches, including AC, sleeper and general-class coaches.
Yesvantpur–Vijayapura special trains will run on September 11, 12, 13 and 14, with 20 coaches each.
The services are intended to provide extra capacity during the expected Ganesh Chaturthi passenger rush.
