Railways Announce Bengaluru-Belagavi Specials, Shift Howrah-Mysuru Terminal to Shalimar
Railway officials are adding special trains between Bengaluru and Belagavi.
These trains will run on August 20 and 22 from Bengaluru, with return trips on August 21 and 23.
They are being added because more people are expected to travel.
Each special train will have 19 coaches.
The trains will stop at several stations along the route.
Another railway service, the Howrah-Mysuru Weekly Superfast Express, will use Shalimar instead of Howrah.
This change starts for the Mysuru-bound journey on October 30, 2026.
The train timings between Mysuru and Santragachi will not change.
South Western Railway will run special trains between SMVT Bengaluru and Belagavi on August 20, 21, 22 and 23, 2026.
The Bengaluru-Belagavi special trains will have 19 coaches, including sleeper, general and accessible luggage coaches.
The services will stop at stations including Tumakuru, Arsikere, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Londa and Khanapur.
The Howrah-Mysuru-Howrah Weekly Superfast Express will originate and terminate at Shalimar instead of Howrah.
The terminal change begins with journeys from Shalimar on October 30 and from Mysuru on November 1, 2026.
