Karnataka has received much less rain than usual this year.

Thirty out of its 31 districts had below-normal rainfall.

Some districts received less than half the rain they normally get.

The government has already declared 101 taluks drought-hit.

It is considering adding 25 more taluks to the list.

This declaration allows affected areas to receive certain government relief measures.

Bengaluru Urban received 183 millimetres of rain instead of about 320 millimetres.

Belagavi was the only district whose rainfall remained within the official normal range.
