Special Trains Announced for Velankanni Festival Rush
Southern Railway is adding special trains for people attending the Velankanni Festival.
The trains will travel between Tambaram and Velankanni.
The first service will leave Tambaram late at night on three listed dates.
It will arrive in Velankanni the next morning.
Return services will leave Velankanni after midnight on three other dates.
The trains will stop at several stations along the route.
They will include sleeper and second-class coaches.
Special facilities will also be available in luggage-cum-brake and divyangjan-friendly coaches.
Southern Railway will run special trains between Tambaram and Velankanni for the festival rush.
Train 06037 will depart Tambaram at 11:50 p.m. on August 24, 31 and September 7.
The train will reach Velankanni at 7:45 a.m. the following day.
Return train 06038 will leave Velankanni at 12:45 a.m. on August 26, September 2 and September 9.
Each train will have sleeper, second-class and luggage-cum-brake coaches, with stops at eight stations.
