Bihar Man Sentenced to Life for Dowry Murder
A court in Bihar found Subhash Yadav guilty of killing his wife, Reena Devi.
The killing happened in 2020 after arguments about dowry demands.
Prosecutors said the demands included a motorcycle and a buffalo.
They also said Yadav tried to hide the crime by destroying and separating Reena’s remains.
The court sentenced him to life in prison for murder.
He received another seven-year sentence for destroying evidence.
He was also ordered to pay fines.
Their two children will receive Rs 4,000 each month from the Bihar government because they no longer have parental care.

Investigators alleged that Reena’s body was burned, cut into three pieces and placed in separate sacks.
