Man gets life imprisonment for setting wife ablaze in Odisha
A man in India did a very wrong thing to his wife.
He poured a liquid called kerosene on her and set her on fire.
The wife was badly hurt and had to go to the hospital.
Even though doctors tried to treat her, she died in December 2022.
The police arrested the man after the attack, and they also arrested his mother and two sisters.
In court, a judge heard all the evidence and decided that the man was guilty.
The judge gave him a punishment called life imprisonment, which means he will be in prison for a very long time.
The judge let the man's mother and sisters go free because there was not enough proof that they did anything wrong.
The man acted because of family fights and demands for more money from his wife's family, which is called dowry.
