Woman allegedly killed over dowry in Ballia; husband, in-laws booked
A woman named Goldy Yadav lived in Ballia, a town in India.
She got married to a man named Rakesh Kumar Yadav on April 29, 2021.
Right after the wedding, her husband's family was unkind to her because they wanted more money and gifts.
This is called demanding a dowry.
Her family had already given 3 lakh rupees in cash so the in-laws could buy a four-wheeler, but they kept asking for more.
One Wednesday, Goldy called her family and said she was scared because her in-laws were planning to harm her.
She died that same night, and her body was found the next morning.
The police do not yet know exactly how she died because the doctor's report is not ready.
Her husband, his brother, and his parents have all been booked by the police, and the investigation is still going on.

The family had already given Rs 3 lakh in cash for a four-wheeler, but the in-laws allegedly continued to demand more dowry.
Goldy told her family over the phone on Wednesday that her in-laws were allegedly planning to kill her; a case was registered at Bhimpura police station on her cousin Ajit Kumar Yadav's complaint.
