Man, Wife Sentenced To Life For Daughter's Murder In Gonda

A judge in a city called Gonda made a big decision about a very sad crime.

A man named Rajesh Shukla and his wife Kiran were sent to prison for the rest of their lives.

They were punished for hurting Rajesh's daughter, a young woman named Shweta, so badly that she died.

This happened at night in a village area called Tulsipur Madhavganj in the summer of 2024.

At first, Rajesh called the emergency number 112 and said his brothers had hurt him and his daughter.

But when the police checked, they found out that Rajesh and Kiran were the ones who did it.

The police say Shweta had said no to a marriage, and that made her family angry.

The couple tried to blame Rajesh's brothers, but the judge did not believe them.

Now Rajesh and Kiran each have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 and stay in prison for life.
