Nashik Collector Urges Voters to Submit SIR Forms Before Deadline

Voting lets citizens choose their leaders.

Before elections, the government makes sure everyone who wants to vote is on a special list called the electoral roll.

In the district of Nashik in India, officials are updating this list through a program called the Special Intensive Revision.

The program started on June 30 and will end on August 17.

A district officer named Ayush Prasad asked all voters to fill out and submit their registration forms quickly.

Voters can give their forms to workers called Booth Level Officers.

Some areas, like Niphad, Dindori, and Igatpuri, have already finished their work.

The Nashik West area, which has the most voters, is about 73 percent done.

After the forms are collected, the draft list will be published on August 24.

The final voter list will be ready on October 27, so everyone can be ready to vote.
