Turkey exports $25 million worth of tea in first nine months of 2026

Turkey exported 3,360 tonnes of tea to 119 countries, autonomous regions and free zones between January and September 2026.

The sales brought in about $25 million.

The United Kingdom, Belgium and the United States were the largest destination markets by value.

Rize, a province in Turkey’s tea-growing region, accounted for 37% of the country’s tea export value, shipping 1,820 tonnes to 25 countries.

A tea industry representative said exports had performed well during the first nine months and expected them to gain pace toward the end of the year.

The sector aims to finish the year above the previous period in both export volume and revenue.

It also plans to increase sales in existing markets and reach more countries.
