Pegasus to end Sabiha Gökçen–Tuzla flights after October 23

Pegasus plans to stop flying between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Tuzla, a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The last flight is scheduled for October 23, and the route will not operate in the 2026/27 winter season.

Pegasus has also paused ticket sales for next summer, though the company’s future plans for the route are not detailed.

AJet stopped flying the same route in June, so Wizz Air is expected to be Tuzla’s only scheduled airline this winter.

The decision comes as Tuzla Airport’s passenger numbers have risen sharply, reaching 502,744 in the first nine months of this year, more than double the same period in 2025.

A local tourism board has funded a subsidy programme for Wizz Air, and the canton government is reviewing whether the programme is meeting its goals.

The review’s specific findings and any changes to the subsidy agreement have not been made public.
