Bihar prepares flood damage compensation demand of over ₹10,000 crore

Bihar is assessing damage from recent floods before asking the central government for more than ₹10,000 crore.

Floodwater affected millions of people and damaged crops, roads, embankments and schools.

The full cost is not yet known because water still needs to recede in some fields.
