Haryana approves recruitment exemptions for former Agniveers

The Haryana Cabinet has approved changes to the state’s policy for former Agniveers.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the changes are intended to help them find government jobs by recognising their training, discipline and skills.

Former Agniveers will be exempt from all examinations for direct recruitment to Group-C posts covered by the policy.

They will still have to meet applicable reservation and other recruitment rules.

For several posts, including wildlife guard, police constable and fire operator-cum-driver, they will also be exempt from physical screening and measurement tests.

The state recently brought those posts under its reservation policy for former Agniveers.
