Confindustria Alto Adige and Fraunhofer Italia deepen research partnership
Confindustria Alto Adige, a business group in the Italian province of South Tyrol, and Fraunhofer Italia have agreed to deepen their long-standing partnership.
Fraunhofer Italia is a nonprofit research organization founded in Bolzano in 2009 with the support of the province.
The partners aim to connect companies’ practical needs with applied research and develop and test possible solutions.
Their work will focus on artificial intelligence, digital manufacturing, automation, robotics and ways to use resources more efficiently.
Earlier joint work through the European Digital Innovation Hub DIS-HUB included 10 projects with local companies.
Those projects helped show how research expertise can be matched with specific business needs.
The new agreement is intended to build on that experience and strengthen innovation among local companies.
