Italy’s out-of-home food market reached €102 billion in 2025
People in Italy spent €102 billion on food and drink consumed away from home in 2025.
Tourism made up €23 billion of that spending, including €11 billion from foreign visitors.
Lunch occasions grew, but evening aperitifs and after-dinner consumption struggled.
More than half of Italians said restaurants should feature more Italian dishes.
