Mexico’s federal prosecutor to decide whether to investigate Amílcar Olán

The federal prosecutor’s office will decide whether to investigate Amílcar Olán.

Security chief Omar García Harfuch said his department currently has a leaked recording from 2023 involving Olán.

In it, Olán reportedly said he helped the Jalisco New Generation Cartel stop extorting companies that supplied stone for two train projects.

The allegations have not been established, and the prosecutor’s office will decide what steps to take.
