Chapman and Foulkes ruled out of New Zealand’s India T20I series

New Zealand have changed their squad for a five-match T20 international series against India after Mark Chapman and Zakary Foulkes were injured.

Chapman tore his left hamstring while playing in a European T20 league last month.

He is expected to be available for the one-day international series against India, but Foulkes has no confirmed return date after injuring his right hip flexor at training.

All-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been named as replacements.

The T20 series is scheduled to begin on October 22, with matches in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton.

Mitchell Santner will lead New Zealand’s 16-player squad.

The changes mean New Zealand will have to adjust its plans for the series, and Foulkes’s recovery timeline remains unclear.
