New Zealand splits squad for five-match ODI series against India
New Zealand has named a split squad for a five-match one-day international series against India, starting November 4 in Auckland.
Mitchell Santner will captain the team.
Six players, including Santner, will be available for all five matches.
Rachin Ravindra returns from a shoulder injury for the first three games, while Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert join for the final two.
After the third ODI, some players will leave to prepare for the two-match Test series, which begins at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on November 19.
New Zealand beat India 2-1 in an ODI series in India earlier this year, its first bilateral ODI series win there.
Coach Rob Walter says the games will help New Zealand prepare for the 2027 World Cup and assess its squad depth.
