Seacom CEO Alpheus Mangale resigns from Absa board

Alpheus Mangale has left Absa’s board and three of its committees.

He remains on special leave as CEO of Seacom while an independent investigator looks into allegations about how the company was run.

Seacom’s chairman said the leave was a precaution and did not mean Mangale was guilty of anything.

Absa did not say his resignation was connected to the investigation.
