PCF Sparkletots to spend S$20 million on staff development over three years
PCF Sparkletots, Singapore’s largest preschool operator, will spend S$20 million on staff development over the next three years.
That is double what it spent in the previous three years, and the investment is intended to support about 8,000 educators and 500 preschool leaders.
The foundation runs about 350 preschools serving more than 40,000 children each day.
The funding will support training in professional development, leadership and digital skills, as well as workplace learning and staff mental health support.
Sparkletots will also direct some parent enquiries and operational tasks to designated staff so teachers can focus more on teaching.
Educators will receive a checklist of classroom practices to help manage behaviour, support children’s emotions and make classrooms more inclusive.
The changes are among initiatives announced for the foundation’s 40th anniversary; the rollout of three mother tongue languages at preschools with demand is due to begin in January 2027.
