ADX plans Vienna Basin production work and deeper gas testing in Austria
ADX Energy plans to start a work program in Austria on October 19, using one rig for work at its producing fields and a gas discovery well.
At its Vienna Basin fields, the company aims to increase oil and gas production by about 100 barrels of oil equivalent a day, or roughly 40% of its Austrian production.
At Hochfeld-1 in Upper Austria, flow and pressure data show that three additional gas zones contributed during a combined test.
ADX plans to prepare the well to test at least one deeper zone in the Hall Channel formation, with testing scheduled to begin on December 15.
Hochfeld-1 was completed in May, and earlier tests found gas flowing from the well; the deeper zones still need testing to assess their performance.
ADX operates Hochfeld-1 and has a 50% economic interest in it.
The program is intended to increase production while assessing more gas reservoirs, and ADX says using one rig for both programs can save time and costs.
ADX Energy plans an Austrian well work program starting October 19 to increase production at its Vienna Basin fields and continue testing at Hochfeld-1.
The company is targeting an additional 100 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the Vienna Basin work.
Flow and pressure data confirmed contributions from three additional gas zones during a combined test at Hochfeld-1.
ADX plans to begin testing at least one deeper Hall Channel reservoir on December 15.
The program will use one workover rig across the producing fields and the Hochfeld-1 well.
