Karnataka receives 19,376 more voter-roll objections in four days

Form 7 lets people object to a name being added to the voter list or ask for a name to be removed.

Karnataka received 19,376 more such applications between October 4 and 8, bringing the total since June 16 to 1,10,654.

Officials have until October 22 to decide claims and objections, and the final voter list is due on October 27.

The increase comes amid concerns about attempts to remove names unfairly.
