AI-planned route leaves teenage hiker stranded on a British Columbia cliff

The teenager followed a route made by AI while hiking in British Columbia.

It led him onto a steep cliff where a helicopter could not safely reach him.

Rescuers used ropes to get him to a safer place.

The incident shows why AI route suggestions should be checked against reliable hiking information.
