Microsoft releases October security update for Windows 10
Microsoft released Windows 10 update KB5126657 with security fixes and bug repairs.
It is available to Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC users and people enrolled in the Extended Security Updates program.
The update includes fixes from October 2026 Patch Tuesday, which addressed 1,411 vulnerabilities across Microsoft products, including one flaw that was being actively exploited.
It also fixes issues with backup drives and Storage Spaces, and adds time-zone and security changes.
Some USB audio problems remain unresolved after earlier Windows updates, including devices that may stop producing sound or show an error.
Microsoft says it is working on additional fixes for the audio issues.
