Chipotle plans second South Korea branch at Shinsegae Gangnam
US Mexican food chain Chipotle is preparing to open its second South Korean branch at Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul.
The new site will be in Sweet Park, the store’s basement food area, near a bus terminal.
Chipotle opened its first South Korean and Asian branch near Gangnam Station on September 2.
Customers can choose ingredients for burritos, bowls and tacos, and long queues formed when the first branch opened.
The second location will let the company test demand in a department store as well as on a busy street.
