Mexican lawmakers propose tax deductions for university tuition

The proposal would let families deduct some university tuition from their taxes.

It would also raise limits for other education levels and link them to a measure that updates each year.

The proposed university limit is 64,192 pesos per student.

If approved, the changes could reduce the tax burden for some families paying for education.
