Mostert and Coulthard fastest in Bathurst 1000 warm-up

Chaz Mostert and Fabian Coulthard were fastest in the warm-up for the Bathurst 1000 in Australia.

Their Walkinshaw TWG Racing Toyota Supra recorded a lap time of 2:05.3206.

It was the first session Toyota had topped over the weekend.

The warm-up let teams practise pit stops and driver changes before the 161-lap race.

There were no major incidents, though David Reynolds had a close call during a pit stop and Brodie Kostecki reported a tyre vibration.

Kostecki’s co-driver, Todd Hazelwood, said the issue appeared precautionary and that the car felt good.

The race is scheduled to start at 11:30am AEDT.
