Hamilton takes responsibility for sixth place at Singapore Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton finished sixth for Ferrari at the Singapore Grand Prix.

He said his strategy decision was to blame for the result and took responsibility in a message to fans.

Ferrari had called him in to pit during a virtual safety car, but he missed the pit entry.

He later switched to medium tires and hoped to finish the race with one stop, but the strategy did not work as planned.

The difficult result came despite Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc finishing second, showing the car could be competitive.

Hamilton said sixth place did not reflect the car’s pace and thanked fans in Singapore for their support.

His next chance to improve is the United States Grand Prix in Austin, scheduled for 23 to 25 October.
