ST Engineering opens Singapore aircraft facility, plans more than 500 jobs

ST Engineering officially opened its fourth aircraft maintenance facility in Singapore on Oct 9.
The S$170 million Changi Creek facility will employ more than 500 people when fully operational, with most jobs newly created.
The 84,000 sq m site has four widebody aircraft bays and will add 40 per cent capacity to the company’s widebody maintenance network in Singapore.
The facility began operations in May and will ramp up over the coming year.
It uses drones and autonomous mobile robots and could allow 100 more widebody aircraft to be serviced each year.
