Windows 11 24H2 Home and Pro reach end of support

Microsoft ended support for Windows 11 24H2 Home and Pro on October 13, 2026.

These editions will no longer receive monthly security or preview updates, leaving them without new protections against security threats.

The change applies to devices running the Home and Pro editions; Enterprise and Education editions remain supported until October 2027.

Microsoft recommends that eligible users upgrade to Windows 11 26H2, the latest version.

The update is rolling out in phases over the next few months, and Microsoft says it will download and install automatically when ready for a device.

Users can enable the option to get the latest updates as soon as they are available to receive the update as it rolls out.

Windows 11 26H2 is scheduled to remain supported for consumers until October 2029.
