Alperia and business network agree fixed-price energy offer for companies
Energy company Alperia and South Tyrol’s business network, the Südtiroler Wirtschaftsring, signed a new agreement on October 9.
It offers businesses electricity at a fixed price to help them manage costs as energy prices rise.
Alperia will give up its profit margin on the first 10,000 kilowatt-hours used; consumption beyond that is charged at the market price.
The agreement also offers discounts that the business network says can reach 30%, and Alperia has cut its gas surcharge from 8 to 3.9 cents per cubic metre.
About 15,000 companies already used the previous agreement, and participating businesses saved about €5 million in 2025.
The offer is intended to help small businesses, which can have less bargaining power than large energy users.
The new agreement has been signed, while Alperia’s board is due to meet on Monday about company appointments.
