The Exorcist: Martyrs Draws on The Exorcist III, Flanagan Says

The new film is called The Exorcist: Martyrs.

Director Mike Flanagan says it takes inspiration from The Exorcist III.

It combines a search for a serial killer with a story about demonic possession.

Flanagan says viewers can follow the new film without having seen the earlier one.
