Nicolas Cage says he will probably not work with Amazon again over AI

Nicolas Cage said at New York Comic Con in New York City that he will probably not work with Amazon again.

He said he refused to sign a waiver allowing the company to use artificial intelligence on Spider-Noir, his Prime Video series.

Cage said Amazon’s investment in AI conflicts with his position as an actor who does not support its use in performances.

Amazon canceled Spider-Noir after one season, which received 11 Emmy nominations.

Cage said he was content with the show ending after one season.

He also praised younger filmmakers, including Kane Parsons, for making films by hand.

Cage said he may appear in another season of the HBO crime drama True Detective, but HBO did not confirm his casting.

I didn’t sign the waiver to let him use AI on Spider-Noir. I’m probably not going to be working with that studio again, but that’s okay.

I am not an AI-friendly actor, so it’s like, connect those dots! I’m not a member of their club.

They’re doing it from scratch and by hand. I want to get with that.
