Türkiye plans to extend natural gas access to 1,000 settlements this year
Türkiye says 73 million people now have access to natural gas.
The network reaches 995 settlements across all 81 provinces.

The expansion builds on a large pipeline system linking transmission and distribution networks.
As of August, those networks together stretched 257,522 kilometres.
Wider access could bring natural gas to more communities, although the figures describe availability, not how many people use it.
