Amateur uses AI to flag possible exoplanet for follow-up observations
A repeated dip in a star’s light can be a clue that a planet is passing in front of it.
Pavel Rabtsevich used AI tools to search telescope data and found a pattern that may point to a planet.
The planet has not been confirmed.
TESS is due to observe the star again, which could help test whether the signal is real.
