Josephine Nkomo to captain Zimbabwe on first white-ball tour of India

Zimbabwe’s women’s cricket team will tour India for the first time for a white-ball series, which includes T20 and one-day international matches.

All-rounder Josephine Nkomo will captain the 15-player squad.

The tour begins with three T20Is in Raipur on October 16, 18 and 20.

Three ODIs will follow in Baroda on October 23, 25 and 28.

Zimbabwe kept the squad that played the West Indies in September and October, when it recorded its first win over the Caribbean side.

The ODI series will count toward the ICC Women’s Championship.

India will be led by Smriti Mandhana, who is captaining the team for the first time after replacing Harmanpreet Kaur.
