Election Commission Launches Jharkhand Voter Verification Drive

Election Commission Launches Jharkhand Voter Verification Drive
EC launches drive to verify voters, family members · theprint.in

The Election Commission is checking voter lists in Jharkhand.

Officials will visit homes to make sure eligible people are listed.

They will also check that family members living together are assigned to the same polling station.

Families may receive a sticker reminding them to check the list.

People missing from the draft list can apply to be added using Form-6.

People assigned to the wrong polling station can request a transfer using Form-8.

The draft list has fewer voters than before because more than 43.61 lakh names were deleted.

People can raise claims or objections until September 15, and the final list is expected on October 19.
