Telangana DGP C.V. Anand Reminisces Warangal Policing Days

A very important police officer named C.V. Anand went back to a city called Warangal, where he started working as a police officer in 1992.

Back then, life was very dangerous because of Naxalism, and police were always worried about bombs going off.

He visited the small house he used to rent on Hunter Road, which brought back many memories.

He also went to a police station called Sangem, where he had written his name in a book many years ago, and police leader N. Swetha showed it to him.

He told other police officers that they should always sign the register when they visit a police station.

He remembered that in those days police could drive very fast, about 80 or 90 kilometers per hour, because there was less traffic.

He also said that although some people grew cannabis back then, sellers were too scared to sell it openly because security was so strict.

But he felt sad that drugs are a much bigger problem today.

He believes the challenges faced by the police and society have changed a lot over the years.
