His name is CV Anand and his job is Director General of Police.

On August 10, he warned four senior police officers.

He said they were not changing the way they worked.

He had already told them many times to do better.

He said they could face strict punishment if they do not improve.

He did not tell the public the names of these four officers.

After that, he visited a place called Karrigutta.

In the past, a group called the Maoists controlled that area for almost fifty years.

Now there is peace there, and the government wants to build roads and tourist spots.

To celebrate the peace, he released white doves with other officials.
