Telangana DGP Warns Four Officers, Unveils Tourism Plans for Karrigutta
The police boss of Telangana, a state in India, was not happy with some of his top workers.
His name is CV Anand and his job is Director General of Police.
On August 10, he warned four senior police officers.
He said they were not changing the way they worked.
He had already told them many times to do better.
He said they could face strict punishment if they do not improve.
He did not tell the public the names of these four officers.
After that, he visited a place called Karrigutta.
In the past, a group called the Maoists controlled that area for almost fifty years.
Now there is peace there, and the government wants to build roads and tourist spots.
To celebrate the peace, he released white doves with other officials.
Telangana Director General of Police CV Anand on August 10 expressed strong displeasure over the functioning of four senior officers.
The DGP warned that strict action would be taken if the officers do not change their working methods after repeated instructions during video and teleconferences.
The names of the four officers were not publicly disclosed.
During a visit to Karrigutta in Mulugu district, CV Anand announced plans to transform the former Maoist stronghold into a peaceful tourism hub.
Anand stated peace had returned to the region after nearly five decades of Maoist influence, with government focus on roads, connectivity, amenities, and tourism infrastructure.
