Ujjain Municipal Corporation demolished an unauthorised construction on Simhastha-area land along Lalpul Bridge Road.
The construction was attributed to Madhavanand Ashram and had allegedly been built without permission.
The demolition used two Poclain machines and JCB machines after site inspection and required procedures.
The corporation began marking a roughly 730-metre road proposed for widening to 15 metres.
