Ujjain's Teen Batti Chauraha to Undergo Major Traffic Revamp

A busy crossing in the city of Ujjain is going to be made better and safer.

It is called Teen Batti Chauraha and many cars and buses pass through it every day.

The city's mayor, Mukesh Tatwal, went to look at the crossing and gave instructions to fix it.

The plan is to make the crossing a left-turn-free intersection.

That means cars will have a smoother path and won't need to stop as much.

The roads going in all four directions will be made wider.

This widening will follow the safety rules set by a group called the Indian Road Congress.

The city wants to reduce traffic jams and make driving less stressful.

Workers are asked to finish the job within three months.

The plan also thinks about future traffic so the crossing works well for a long time.
