Indore Removes Structures for Musakhedi Road Widening Project
Indore is making some roads wider.
City workers used JCB machines to remove buildings that were in the planned road paths.
More than 17 houses and shops were removed near Musakhedi Square.
The road there is planned to be 45 metres wide.
Officials said notices had been given to property owners first.
Some parts of other houses were also demolished.
Near Badal-Ka-Bhatta Road, front portions of seven houses were removed.
The city said these structures were obstructing road-widening work.
Indore Municipal Corporation removed more than 17 houses and shops along the Musakhedi Square–Sanwariya Dham Temple stretch.
The road project in Zone 18, Ward 51, is planned with a width of 45 metres under the Indore Development Plan-2021.
Officials said property owners had received notices before the demolition action began.
The civic body also demolished partial structures of several other houses within the proposed road alignment.
Illegal front portions of seven houses were removed near Badal-Ka-Bhatta Road during separate widening work.
