Five Nashik Food Licenses Suspended; 1,236.9 Kg Stock Seized

In the city of Nashik in India, food safety inspectors went to many shops and restaurants to check if the food was clean and safe.

They are part of a group called the FDA, which makes sure the food people eat is good for them.

The inspectors found that five places were not clean enough and had problems with food safety rules.

Because of this, these five shops were told they could not sell food for a while.

The inspectors also took away a lot of food, like sweets such as Sonpapdi, Gulab Jamun, and Milk Barfi.

They found a place selling toddy, a traditional drink, where the drink was kept in dirty conditions and maybe mixed with something bad.

So they took away and destroyed 78 litres of that toddy.

The government says everyone who makes or sells food must follow the hygiene rules.

They are continuing to check more places so that people can eat safely.

If anyone sees food that looks unsafe, they can tell the FDA about it.
