Chouhan Urges Japan to Deliver Affordable Agricultural Technology
India’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked Japan to help Indian farmers with affordable machines and technology.
He especially wants small and marginal farmers to benefit.
The technology should help farmers grow more, use less water and spend less money.
It should also help increase their incomes.
Chouhan said research should become useful tools instead of staying only in papers.
He wants young people in villages to operate, repair and build businesses around these tools.
He also said Uttar Pradesh could attract Japanese investment and create jobs.
The meeting is meant to strengthen cooperation between India, Uttar Pradesh and Japan.
